:smile:Is it okey to usher the death of the ego? or do we just accept it as a part of our personality and move on to develop our higher self? Sometimes the ego just keeps us from moving on. so maybe here are some tips to starve or simply neglect it: to recognize sincerity in our sincerest action; to discover deception in our purest motivation; to recognize our state of sinfulness in contemplative ecstasy; to love unconditionally; to give until empty and emptiness itself give; to discern your own folly in our spiritual victories; to empty onesself in our strongest moment; to be ordinary in our state of extraordinariness; to experience power in utter simplicity; to be humble when the abstract descends; to accept pain gracefully; to be foolish in your wisdom and wise in your folly; to forget ones crosses while carrying them; to plunge and abandon into the dark night; to lose self importance; to smile in wisdom in a time of grief...
All perception must be processed by mediums of perception. Mediums of perception are necessarily limited in what they can perceive. That is why all our experience with reality is indirect. Mediums of perceiving reality such as the eyes, ears, nose, feel, taste, are but mechanisms through which we can arrange reality and life into digestible units--more safe, more controlled, more tangible. In this sense, mediums of perceiving reality becomes an advantage to us. It becomes our defense against the immense mystery out there which is REALITY. They keep us intact and secure and safe. At the same time, it becomes a disadvantage because it limits the scope of our perceptions. It binds us to a limited version of reality. In the end, this limited version is what we accept as The Reality when in fact it is only reality as we perceived it in a limited way. Reality is always larger than our best interpretations. That is why life is always larger than we are. And experience teaches some new things about reality which we have not yet considered before. When we consider that which we perceive as THE REALITY, we become attached, baffled and mesmerized in this limited reality as we become embroiled in ignorance and self important pride. This is what eastern philosphy consider as maya or ignorance or illusion.:bowl:
Let me share with you some of my musings on transforming self and world. The peak of reason is intuition. The peak of logic is magic. By rationality we prove. By intuition we discover. By rationality we can control the parts. By mystery we become part of the whole. By technology, we can transform what is known. By magic and mysticism, we can share in the uncontrollable and the unknown. By historical necessity life is formed. By opportune harmony, life is made. By accidental correspondence and chance, historical events are made. By necessity, life is sustained. By opportune harmony, life is made. By historical necessity, change occurs and life flows. With accidental correspondence, event are made. By necessity, revolutions are made. By ideas, revolutions are won. So therefore, ideals must be grounded in history and necessity. The magic of oneness and synchronicity must be grounded in a rational means for change. The sense of mystery of life must be grounded in the concrete analysis of concrete conditions of life. An intuition for positive chances and opportunities must be grounded in historical necessity and rational assessment of reality. A sense of harmony and interrelatedness must be grounded in the need for radical change. The mystical view of life must be grounded in a technology which can transform the world. Magic should be rooted in logic. Intuition must spring from reason. There should be a yearning to discover more based on knowledge attained. There should be a feeling of ignorance based in the experience of pure knowledge.
