As I sit next to the window sill,
placing my head upon the cracked glass -
I often wonder as I look to the seas,
if our world will ever -
Truly be free.
From all pains, suffering - sorrow,
as well as broken tomorrows -
with nothing left but shattered mass,
which leaves me with my only escape -
as gentle tears flow upon my face,
I close my eyes,
imagine way up high,
a little white dove sailing on by -
floating upon,
the deep blue skys.
Feeling the softness wamth,
through the echoing breath -
flowing deep upon my pearly skin.
Inhaling the freshness of the crispness wind,
sailing away through the tranquil puff.
Like a gentle flower,
enrapturing me,
rescuing all from misery.
It is then - that I can truly see,
that I find oh so comforting.
Which takes me away,
to a peaceful land,
of one that is oh so very grand -
for I have been deeply touched,
by the gentlest hand.
With tears no longer filling these eyes,
for I can see the most awesome light.
I keep on sailing amongst the skys -
dreaming of a much better world,
for all mankind.
As intensity of such delight,
I truly embrace with all my might -
keep on dreaming way up high,
the little white dove -
just sailing on by.
Until I open these deep blue eyes.
