Heart's song...






A song plays in my head,

a melodic harmony.

Embellished with melisma,

played by a symphony.




Accompanying a delicate,

and serene vocalist.

Weaving a seductive,

magnetic arrest.




My thoughts wander the void,

escaping from reality.

Within this blissful day-dream,

I nestle in fantasy.




I leave behind false love,

the disillusionment of life.

I leave behind false words,

the disingenuous strife.




I revel in the truth within,

knowing my inner worth.

Re-centered once more,

my soul rife with rebirth.




I've allowed my pain,

to eclipse my heart.

Extinguishing the brightness,

my soul stood apart.




But now my song plays on,

my heart's on a roll.

A corona once more,

surrounds my soul.

The Mountain.......




I climbed a mountain,


to see what I could see.


All the way to the top,


you climbed it with me.




The mountain was rugged,


the climb steep.


The path was warn,


the cracks deep.




We toiled together,


never a slip.


Assisting each other,


with a firm, secure grip.




At a point mid way,


we stopped to rest.


Perched on the edge,


like an eagle's nest.




Below us we viewed,


the world at our feet.


Spread out before us,


not a sound, not a peep.




We continued our climb,


too excited to stop.


Anticipating the splendor,


we'd see from the top.




As we crested the ridge,


the last in our way.


We saw the whole world,


exposed to the day.




The sun was setting,


off to our left.


The moon was rising,


a new night's gift.





We spent the night,


under a blanket of stars,


With the world as a bed,


we shared all that's ours.




As the sun rose in the east,


we knew a new peace.


While the world below slept,


we awoke to our needs.




Together are we,


no longer apart.


United in mind, soul,


body and heart.

My soul ...






I write down the words,


that come tumbling out.


The words of my soul,


of what I'm about.




My innermost thoughts,


I put down in writing.


To express my desires,


my soul's inner longings.




My soul speaks through me,


in various ways.


It guides my body,


it's needs to display.




My eyes seek to look,


to see what it sees.


My mind seeks to grasp,


to know what it needs.




My hands seek to touch,


to hold what it craves,


My voice seeks to speak,


to say what it prays.




Throughout all of this,


my soul as my guide,


My body I use,


to express what's inside.

Come, walk with me....





Two souls have met along life's path,


a blessing each has felt.


Entwined in love we can't deny,


our hand in life is dealt.






Together now our lives are joined,


our souls they now are free.



To feel the joy life's given us,


and love it's mystery.







No longer locked inside ourselves,


we've found the keys this day.


Unlocked forever that stout door,


flung open all the way.






With love and care, each one to share,


we'll look to see the day,


When all our dreams and wishes too,


have come to us to stay.







Our love will grow upon this seed,


with roots gone deep within.



Fed and nourished by our hearts,


our souls could not be dim.






Well down the path for years to come,


we'll travel hand in hand.



Our steps are light upon the trail,


come, walk with me my friend.
