Soul-to-Soul Parenting

Soul-to-Soul Parenting: A Guide to Raising a Spiritually Conscious Family by Annie Burnside is a wonderful book published in June 2010. First, Annie shares her own spiritual journey. She follows this by explaining 22 parenting vehicles including weekly family discussions, spiritual signs, family rituals, books, music and nature. Next, she explains 11 spiritual themes, the concepts underlying the parenting vehicles. The spiritual themes include soul-to-soul versus role-to-role, the physical body: a sacred vessel, authenticity and joy, true eternal nature, self-love, and gratitude and appreciation. Annie asks readers to use only the material that resonates for them. While intended for use with families, the material is universal and could be used by any of us interested in parenting ourselves.

Colour and you

This guided visualization allows you to explore your relationship with colour. Do you have a favourite colour? Do particular colours have meaning for you? What role, if any, does colour play in your life? Let's explore!

I encourage you to read the visualization then close your eyes to work your way through it. If you need to open your eyes to remind yourself of the next step, please do so. Then close your eyes and continue with the visualization.

1. Get comfortable in a quiet location. I like to sit with my feet flat on the floor and my hands resting in my lap with the palms up and open. Having your feet on the floor helps you to root in the earth. Having your palms open indicates your willingness to receive. If you have physical challenges and my preferred position is uncomfortable, please choose the location and position that works best for you.

2. Now, notice your breathing. Follow your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out. Breathe in easily and gently. Breathe out easily and gently. Take several easy, gentle breaths. Now, gradually deepen your breathing. Follow your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out deeply and completely. Now, give yourself permission to relax. Feel yourself relax.

3. Now, open your consciousness and think about colours. What comes into your consciousness? Does a particular colour come to you? Does it remind you of a particular location, event or person? What comes into your consciousness when you ponder colour?

4. Now, let's explore what came to you in more detail. Do you feel any emotions? What are they? Are you happy, mad, sad, glad or something else? Ask yourself if it is in your highest good to savour this experience. If the answer is yes, please savour this experience. If the answer is no, is there anything that you could clear away? Sometimes things come up so we have the opportunity to clear them away and fill the space created with positive energy. Please use the clearing technique that works for you to carry this out.

5. Now, open your consciousness and ask yourself if you have a favourite colour? If the answer is yes, let that colour come into your consciousness. If the answer is no, ask yourself if you like many colours. If the answer is yes, let these colours come into your consiousness. If the answer is no, ask yourself to bring a favourite of a different kind into your consciousness. Explore what comes into your consciousness and savour the experience.

6. If you do have a favourite colour, what is the meaning of that colour for you? Let this information come into your consciousness. Does this colour remind you of particular places, events or people in your life? Let this information come into your consciousness easily and gently. Allow yourself to explore the meaning of this colour in your life. Savour the experience.

7. Now, begin your journey back to regular consciousness. Begin to notice your surroundings. Notice any noises in your surroundings. Notice where you are sitting. Notice your breathing. When you are ready, return to regular consiousness. Stretch and open your eyes, ready for whatever comes next in your day. Know that you will remember your experience with colour as you continue on with your day.

To the joy of colour,
Karen

The energy of colour

When I was a young child, my favourite colour was a true, pure red. My favourite winter coat was red with a fake fur lining in white with black spots. I felt very special when I wore that coat! Then, in turn, my favourite colours were orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and magenta. Do you notice the pattern? Yes, you guessed it: all the colours of the rainbow. Now, as I mentioned, I adore all the colours.

Did you know that colour is energy? Colour is the part of light that we can see. Since light has energy, colour too is a form of energy. Sir Isaac Newton discovered that sunlight is a mixture of colours. He noticed that when a ray of sunlight passes through a prism, it becomes seven colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

A colour wheel shows us that there are three primary colours: red, yellow and blue. These colours are unique. All the remaining colours are made up of these three colours. There are three secondary colours: orange, green and purple. These colours are made by combining two of the primary colours. Red and yellow create orange. Yellow and blue make green. Combining blue and red gets purple. Then these colours can be combined to create even more colours called tertiary colours.

Did you know that we have a physical response to colour? For example, red is a stimulating colour and has been shown to raise blood pressure and speed up the rate of breathing. Blue and green are calming colours and help us to relax.

We also react to color based on our culture and life experiences. These reactions may have physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energetic components. For example, white is used for weddings in most Western countries while it is the colour of mourning and funerals in many Eastern countries. Also, having pleasant or unpleasant experiences associated with a colour make us respond to it differently. We may be happy, sad, or mad due to the memories connected with a specific colour.

So, you now know that colour is a form of energy and colours can have energetic impacts on us.In the next issue of Good Vibes with Karen, you will discover more about specific colours.

To the joy of colour,
Karen

Thanking to great efforts from Respected Dr. James Ferrel, he is doing for the world, we have just uploaded a introduction to Neogensis at Scribd which is one of the most read platform online offering book downloads in many formats:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/36712804/Neogenesis-Reco...

In his words, Dr. James Ferrel says:

"I wrote Neogenesis to encourage a better understanding of subtle toxic brain injuries; how
frequently they are overlooked, their best prevention and treatment, and their enormous
implications, not yet fully recognized, in this increasingly toxic world.

This book is not a profit making endeavor. It’s offered in gratitude for my countless blessings.
Updated versions can be viewed free at www.lifedynamix.com/neogenesis "

Thanks again to Dr. J. Ferrel!

The products that are not recyclable need greater attention. For example the polythene bags, plastic products, electronic and electrical products, and thus almost all of modern products need a solution so that all can earn and invest to help the environment. The non-re-cyclic products can be taken back by the manufactures via the shops or where these are sold.

It can make all earn some points as if social grading. More grades one gets more loyal the customer will be to the company and by all means to the society and nature. It helps our social environment to allow nature to serve us. We can solve almost all problems related to pollution if we know how to manufacture (produce), use and dispose.

Now, the last word disposal needs to be our offering thanksgiving as if investment to nature so that our lives go smoothly as well as of all living and non-living ones in the nature, particularly on our earth. The manufactures can surely pass the resolutions so that if customer and or user buys anything, we take any part of it back with some points, grades, discounts and further improvement and product and consumer relationships in context to nature and environment.

This factor of social gradation of citizens, the contribution level as part of natural world can be factor that can help millions of people who do so many things without getting any social or governmental recognition and or appreciation. If I return 100 plastic bags, I may get a badge as we get in scouting that can help all to think, feel and discuss about our natural world and thus earth and its problems.

The scouting is minimizing all needs and thus earning. The big companies or even the smallest ones can contribute and make a great difference.

Thanks and we will keep writing more about it - How to Earn by Returning Part or Product after Use to Manufactures and Companies - How to Earn by Returning Part or Product after Use to Manufactures and Companies - Helping Nature and Environment for Better Gradation as a Citizen and Proud of Natural World - Life Dynamix Approach.
