Many times we are prone to forget
The reason and the rhyme in the passing of time
Many times our minds are not yet set
On our soul's true mission, to release all our passion.
We wallow on a sea of forgetfulness
We wander travelling lost and directionless
We hold on to many of life's illusions
And forget our life's true visions.
Until we hear the silent voice of the heart speak,
And realize that this small voice is the spirit we seek,
We rise to the challenge of global transformation,
This is the responsibility of our generation.
For all of us who belong to this present generation and for all still living and all those who will be born and will experience the challenge of our times, congratulations for your brave spirits for choosing to incarnate in these tempestous times! For these are pivotal times of great challenges and great fortitude when the fate of the future is at stake. Upon the shoulders of this present generation lie the heavy weight where the direction of the future is determined--for good or for ill. All scientists would agree that the life support systems of earth is breaking down. All economists are on the strain making a global system work while many are dying of hunger. All social scientists point out to an ever deepening crisis in our society's as well as in our values. We ask ourselves deeply and notice that something important is really amiss. We are living at a time of poignant crisis of the earth and the human. We have to draw out the finest tradition of our humanity to surpass the challenges. Are we to achieve the reign of peace or are we doomed by our own folly? Even in our brightest longings lie the temptation of the serpent. Do we have enough reflexivity to finally overcome? :smile:
