The conditions of freedom are six:
That one only has the present moment to have and nothing else;
That fear and death is conquered with love and courage;
That one travels eternally alone and yet united with all;
That one touches the world so lightly;
That one leaves all self importance behind
That one is imbued with an adventurous spirit to survive the onslaught of the unknown.
Fear is a negative emotion that causes much damage to our thinking, if not kept in check. It can range from mild to extreme, depending upon a person's psychological make-up.
Do this, when you are free. Take a pen and write down all your fears. Then try to realistically and honestly approach each one of your fears.
This is what you need to gauge -
Is it imaginary, real or planted by someone?
Is it worth paying attention to?
Is it stopping you from taking a step in the forward direction?
Finding courage to conquer your fears is simple. Just tell your self positive affirmations that will force you to look at things with courage. Something like:
I am not going to let stupid fears control my life because I am in charge of my own life.
~or~
I believe I will do just fine because I have all the tools to handle this.
~or~
I am willing to take a chance in this direction and see what happens next.
~or~
Its now or never so what the hell.
Well, this way you can conquer each one of your fears one by one. Let your actions be based out of courage and not fear.
I hope we all find the courage to follow our dreams without doubting the possibilities of it not happening.
Not in vain shall we experience the pain of life's living
The pain is there to teach us the best way of being
Not in vain do failures in our life keep happening
There are great lessons that failures keep us teaching
What matters in not how many times you took the blows
What matters is that you are still standing
What matters is not the failures in your life that shows
What matters is how you keep on trying.
And if you fall down in your weakest moment
And so give up all the pain and the torment
When you only have your breath and your heartbeat going
Rest still in the knowledge that you gave your best trying
Then the universe will succor you as you give up in grace
The whole kosmos supports courage and will it seeks in every face
All the stars will align and you will lead them the way
For your pure heart and effort is what will save the day

Perhaps one of the greatest enemy of man is fear. It is said that we can only use 3% of our brains because there is a veil of fear that hinders us from discovering our true potential. This veil of fear prevents us from being truly alive and truly human as we simply choose to live in our own safe haven; not discovering what's around the bend; fear of the unknown; fear of insecurity; fear of death; fear of not belonging and not being accepted... and so on and so forth. When we should have used our voice to speak the truth, we only whisper for fear of being slandered or accused. When we should have gave all our hearts for love, we give only a little for fear of being too vulnerable and hurt; when we could have dedicated all our lives for a worthy cause, we choose to live the safe and easy path for fear of risks and dangers; when we could have lived and loved to the fullest, we choose only to live mediocre lives for fear of what society might say. But love, truth, justice, and beauty are timeless treasures that even death cannot take away. It is beyond our beings and holding on to these in courage, we trascend our narrow limitations and live as angels live. No fear.:wink:
During times of tyranny and oppression, there are people who dare and have the courage to be the voice of the voiceless. They are like prophets coming from the wilderness speaking the painful truths about ourselves and our society. They are the voice in the wilderness, the cry of the downtrodden, speaking in the mountaintops what used to be told in whispered voices, shouting out our innermost fears and longings, giving hope to our world. Most often these courageous voices are silenced in the end with a bullet or with death but are they really silenced? History will attest that those who were silenced by the powers that be turns out that their voices become magnified and their persons immortalized.Who could not know of Socrates condemned by the "wise" sophists as a rebel and an atheist and when he was put to trial put the whole Athens to trial? Who would ever forget Galileo when he was excommunicated by the church for saying that the world was round. Who would forget Joan of Arc even if she was burned as a wicked witch. Who would not remember Jesus Christ even when he was crucified as a thief and a rebel. Or Martin Luther King assasinated...or John Lennon whose legacy and songs and life has become an inspiration for a better world. No the voice of the voiceless may have been killed as always but their death was a triumph of life and liberty and freedom for all humanity!:10500:
