Fatigue
Chronic fatigue was a disease i had never heard of until recently when I went to the doctors because i was so tired that there was days I could not get out of bed to function. Well what can i do about it, i guess there is a couple of medications for it but it still may not give me the energy that I need or want. I would like to find something like a vitamin or supplement that can help give me energy to get through the day.

There are many factors that can influence energy. Stress, poor nutrition, and toxins are common causes of chronic fatigue. Other issues such as Cardiovascular/hematopoetic diseases (poor blood flow, anemia), poor energy production, lack of nutrients involved as cofactors and constituents of the biochemical reactions of energy production.
Prolonged periods of stress and anxiety can lead to a variety of ailments such as adrenal fatigue. Certain modalities that help calm the mind are proven quite effective in reducing stress and anxiety. Meditation, biofeedback, sauna therapy, and hypnosis are all useful. Exercise is another important element in stress reduction. Lack of sleep and/or rest is another factor that affects energy so implement adequate sleep into your daily schedule. Omega 3 fatty acids and the mineral magnesium are beneficial for stress and anxiety. The herb Rhodolia Rosea may help as well.
A main factor is diet and I highly recommend eating plenty of enzyme rich foods such as raw fruits and vegetables. The following free ebook will give you many great tips for a healthy energetic diet.

Not meeting your body’s energy and nutrient needs can slow metabolic/biochemical pathways. If your caloric intake is far below your body’s caloric needs, the body will naturally slow its energy production down to conserve energy stores. This is an innate way of the body to protect itself from possible starvation.
Endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus (type I-when there is lack of insulin which brings glucose into the cells for energy production, or type II-inability of the cells to uptake glucose even in the presence of insulin), hypothyroid states/disease, adrenal fatigue or dysfunction (deficiency of catecholamines) or those hormones that facilitate proper sleep/wake cycles (serotonin, melatonin, cortisol) can have a dramatic affect on energy.
Candida is another important factor that affects energy. It is a fungus that is potentially present within all people and generally controlled by the friendly bacteria in our bodies. However, when the balance of friendly to unfriendly bacteria is disrupted by antibiotic foods such as meats or antibiotic drugs the delicate balance can be disrupted and the fungus is allowed to flourish. When the fungus is in this state it causes many challenges within the body draining its energy. Effective strategies in restoring a healthy balance include modifying the diet and implementing healthy bacteria from foods and supplements. Toxic burden in the body and/or poor liver and detoxification pathways influence energy as well. Limit exposure to all toxins from the air you breathe, what you eat and what you place on your skin. Other Considerations:
Limit caffeine intake to less than 200mg a day. A small amount of green tea has health benefits; however, over time an excessive intake of caffeine stresses the adrenal glands causing energy depletion.
If you notice after taking a B-12 supplement that your energy increases then you are most likely deficient in this vitamin

Chronic Fatigue is so hard to face sometimes. Not know what is wrong and then finding out what is wrong but knowing there is nothing you can do about it. I have struggled with the effects of Chronic Fatigue for a long time. It can be depressing sometimes cause you think what I am I doing wrong and how do I fix this. Relieving Chronic Fatigue does not happen over night it takes time. I have been taking and herbal supplement called activive and also Iron cause i found out that my Iron was low. Both have been giving me more energy and I have been able to get more things done with out getting tired. I have started exercising once a day even if it is just for 15 minutes something that I could not do before cause 10 minutes and I would be exhausted and be down and out the rest of the day. With everything you have to try it and see what works for you. Everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. I hope you find this information helpful.
