I'm into this guy who I've only known for about a month. I don't know what's going on with him most of the time. He gives all indications that he's into me too, including asking me out, and then suddenly I don't hear from him for a couple of days. I don't know if he just doesn't call when nothing's happening, or if he has decided I'm not all that. I obsess over what might be happening. Finally I did hear from him today and he said he had been sick so he didn't call, but everything is fine. Then he said he'd call me tonight but didn't. Why do people do these things? Why do they feel compelled to say what they think we want to hear rather than the truth? Wouldn't life be easier and more pleasant if people were just honest with each other? Wouldn't it be less stressful for everyone?

The Benefits of Travel
Posted November 9, 2008 by joyce_p
Travel makes us better people. We see different environments, meet new people, and experience a different way of life. Every culture has its own eccentricities and all are beautiful. People have things in common with us, and then they do not have things in common with us. This is what makes it so special. It stretches our minds and gives us better understanding of ourselves as well as other people. We can bring things back with us, and by that I mean the intangibles, not necessarily souveniers. Understanding, compassion, new ways of doing things, new ways of thinking, new experiences...it all adds up to make us who we are now.
