The Temple of Ixchel is the farthest structure from the parking area. If memory serves me correctly, it is also the oldest. My friend/Brother LionFire and I climbed the temple, and did some toning inside before the alter, then he showed me how to "dance" down the steps of the temple. He discovered a musical rhythm in the number of steps. It was quite magical. He has written a book, a "travel guide" on the mystical places in the Yucatan. Actually I did take the photo of the tree over the temple door. It is in the Yucatan in Coba. There are several very old temples there and should you decide to visit this place, there are men who will give you a bicycle ride to the farthest place from the parking area. The bicycles are three-wheelers with seats for two passengers behind the driver. Once you visit the temple at the farthest point and begin the walk back (it's only about a mile), you will find a lot of remarkable ancient sites. I just loved this one.
